Being labeled or known as a safe dental practice is something that we’ve always strived for on so many levels. Now, more than ever, it’s so important to do everything possible to keep everyone safe and free from the harm associated with COVID-19.
We invite you to take a minute to familiarize yourself with our new patient health protocols put in place to keep you safe. All of the updates we’ve made to our office and additional steps we’ve asked of our team members are based on suggestions and guidance from the:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- American Dental Association (ADA)
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
After you’re done reading, if you’re unsure about something or have questions for us, please contact our dental office in Auburn.
Pre-screening Measures and Questions
We’re now asking you to answer a series of COVID-19-related questions before and on the day you come to see us for your appointment. Why are we doing this? It helps our team members understand how you’re feeling in terms of your everyday health, such as fever, aches, pains, or flu-like symptoms. We also want to understand the possibilities of your risk to the virus. When it’s time for your appointment, one of our friendly team members will take your temperature at the office to ensure you’re fever-free. We also check out team members’ temperatures each day, and vaccinations have already been administered to them.
Working Hard to Keep You and Your Family Safe
By now, we’re sure you’re at least somewhat familiar with PPE or personal protective equipment. Our team members are now wearing additional protection at our dental office in Auburn, including KN95 masks. We’ve also made some minor yet majorly helpful changes to the office as we’re now using UV-C sterilization installed in conjunction with our current central HVAC system.
Going one step further, we also use a safe, FDA-approved disinfectant fogger that’s used twice daily, both at lunch break and at the end of the day before we close. We also installed HEPA air filtration systems in our operatories and common and reception areas.
If you have any questions about COVID-19 and seeing the dentist, you’re not alone. We hope you’ll take the time to talk with us about any concerns. We’re here to help you have a healthy smile, safely and comfortably.
